Belated Belize

After a little bit of needling by Slade today, I felt obliged to do a little catching-up on my blog. So, only six months late, here we go . . .

For K's big b-day last year, we made a trip down to "paradise". To avoid the holiday rates we went a little ahead of her birthday, making the trip early last December.

I have always wanted to visit Belize. After doing a little research, off we went on a great adventure. We snorkeled, fly fished for bone fish and tarpon, floated on inner tubes down an underground river, visited ancient ruins, botanical gardens and snorkeled on the world's second largest barrier reef among sharks and rays. Oh, and did I mention we ate lots of fresh fruit?
