I love Idaho: I am amazed at what it has to offer.
I was born in this great state and have traveled throughout but still feel there is a lot I have not seen.
With my long weekend off from work we packed up our bags and went on an adventure to discover a new place.
We camped and fished. It was a bit cold at night but the days were great. It was warm and the leaves had just started to turn gold. The fishing was unreal and the scenery was AMAZING. It was a wonderful way to spend my birthday weekend.
Here is the first of many from the trip. I'll post more as I have more time. (Today was another 12 hour day at work)
Enjoy.

Those 12 hour days are fun. I maxed out at 112 mph between Ashton and Montpielier.
Thanks for your hospitality the other night. I appreciate the offer to present my work and I'm still mulling the discussions over in my head.
Be sure to thank all those that attended for me!
Will do. It was great to have you present. The work was great and the discussion was enjoyable.
By the way, its Afton, not Ashton. Your the second person in the last two weeks that I heard call it Ashton.
Mike, can your land rover go 112??
Jon that picture is beautiful. It captures the weekend very well.
Kristi,
Nope, that was the Passat that was doing 112. It would have gone faster, but the turn in the road made me think twice.
Gotta get it out to the Salt Flats I think.
Can we get back to talking about my pictures, geesh!
(Sound familiar Mike?)
I love how you keep your prime photo locations a secret. A short trip to Guantanamo should get us the location easily enough. Then we will all go to the land of Marshmallow Waters. [; >
Hey, my favorite marshmallow water spot is about 1 mile from your classroom. There is a canal that cascades down the hillside right there at the mouth of Logan Canyon.
hey! i know where that is!!!
If you know my secret, I guess I have to kill you.
You know, i just don't get it. "Marshmallow water?" I didn't get it in earlier posts either. Is this some kind of private joke of yours pinholeman?
At least jon doesn't shoot with a lens baby.
yep... and at least i've got the nerve to put my name to my comments.
er, um jon. maybe i don't know where the marshmallow water is. please don't kill me... you can come and visit but don't kill me.
"Marshmallow water?" I don't follow...sounds tasty though! And Lens Babies are a kick! ...and you can see my name too!
So what if my parents gave me a funny name.
chicken.
sweet, tyler. you like air-cooled vw's, enjoy lensbabies, and are not afraid to use your real name.
i can see where people think lensbabies are cheezy. heck, i do too, really. but they are fun and allow another opportunity at visual expression.
Be nice to my readers Mark.
OMG! you've given away my secret identity! i'll just go back to lurking.
