Merry Christmas

Ah, the work week is over and now its time to head home for the holidays.

I thought before I started my little vacation that I would post one more image.

This is from my first experience with a holga camera. This set of images will be one in a series. I intend to leave the images in the groups as I shot them. So the final result will be 3 sets of three photographs.

I like the idea of leaving them in three shot groups. Something very pure/raw about it.

the question is: did you design the tryptics or was it luck?

It was a decision made after the fact. I shot the entire roll of the trees thinking it would be a mini series. I am calling it my one-day or single-day photo projects. I pick something and photograph it basically in one session. This series was photographed in an afternoon. It wasn't until later that I thought it would be interesting to show every image I shot from that afternoon.

The project isn't to show a finely polished, edited series, but rather show the series as I made it so people can see the first photo I made vs. the last photo I made.

On this specific day, it was my first time shooting holga and I think I only shot one roll of film of the trees.

isn't it funny how it works? you do something random... without any thought involved and the next thing you know you have yourself a project. that's what happened with the anti-graffiti stuff i'm shooting now. the tryptic is nice and now that you are more aware of what you're doing, it should turn out very well for you. i look forward to seeing the results.

Thank you for the encouraging comments.

By the way, I love your graffiti work. I think it has become a very strong project for you. Also, probably a never ending project.
