Lamar Valley - Yellowstone
This blog is doing what it is suppose to. It is getting me excited to scan some of my photographs and post them so people can comment, give feedback, enjoy, reject ...
Tonight's photograph was taken this last summer. I had to drive up to Billings, MT and on my way home I took the long way. I was driving through Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park just as a storm was clearing and the sun was setting. I am pretty happy with this image. It is not perfect and goes against some conventions (shooting into the sun being one of them, excessive fall off another). But none the less, I enjoy it for what it is. I would love to hear some comments from my faithful readers.
Thanks. Oh, by the way, Christmas is almost upon us.

Conventions? We don't need no stinking conventions. It would look good in B&W! Nice!

Are you going to say that about every color image "it would look good in B&W" ??? Of course it would look good in B&W. :) I believe most images that look good as Color would make good B&Ws. Not all, but a lot of them. I am sure there could be a lot of debate about that. I could probably debate myself for an hour and not come up with a definite answer.
I just might say it! Don't debate yourself too much, you may go blind.
